With pubs having been allowed to open outside in England from 12 April, we’d like to share some of our favourite alfresco boozers for the people of Brighton & Hove to try…

 

1. The Connaught

If you’re looking for a visit  in the more ‘laid-back’ side of town then The Connaught in Hove offers a lovely chilled atmosphere. With its south-facing seating easy to see why The Connaught is in the running for the best beer gardens in Hove. Thi traditional pub boasts a huge alfresco space, excellent real ales and great quality food – what more could you possibly want?

2. The Mesmerist

Whether you’ve been here before or not, you may not know that this city centre bar has a secret roof terrace! ‘The Luna Deck’ flaunts its very own cocktail bar, perfect for some sunny day drinks if you’re checking out Brightons centre.

3. Open House

Situated in the buzzy area of London Road. Open House is an extremely popular venue for outdoor drinking in the summer.This pub offers cozy wooden huts, a lovely green area and a fantastic great drinks menu! We’d recommend booking out one of these cute booths for you and your group.

4. Park View

Impressive Garden Design

Tucked away from the hustle & bustle of central Brighton. ‘Park View’ just off Preston Park is a strong contender for being one of the best pub gardens in Brighton. It’s mighty  four-tiered beer garden offers locals a great area to relax, drink plenty of craft booze and taste some great pub food too.

 

5 . Sidewinder

Best outdoor chillout zone…

One of the greatest places to drink in Brighton this summer. Sidewinder is the ideal outside chill out zone. The beer garden is a great suntrap during warmer days, while their covered section offers a cosy area for those more unlucky days.

6 . The Hare & Hounds

Great for private seating

This great pub has built a reputation for having one of Brighton’s best beer gardens. Inside this London Road pub you’ll discover plenty of little nooks to enjoy your afternoon.

7 . The Tempest Inn

Brilliant Beach Spot

On one of the best spots on Brighton seafront, this beachfront pub and garden gives you the holiday vibes you’ve been missing. Book a spot on one of their rustic picnic tables with a pint  in your hand and maybe some local seafood while enjoying the sea air with your nearest and dearest.

8 . The Walrus

Dreamy secret terrace!

Just a stone’s throw from the beach, on historic Ship Street. This deceivingly large pub has endless traditionally decorated rooms and winding passageways. You’ll also discover a magnificent secret two-storey roof garden!
