Valentine’s Day may be a little bit different this year in Lockdown. A romantic meal out or drinks at your local pub is firmly off the cards. But with the day of love just around the corner, we’ve got some ideas to have a special celebration at home.
1. Relax together
With Valentine’s Day falling on a Sunday this year, this makes you spend a day away from the stresses of ‘working from home’ and treat your loved one to a home ‘spa’ day of pampering. Why not create a hamper of pampering essentials! Or, if you want to support a small business, then ‘Inner sen Beauty’ , run by Sussex based Sarah and her daughter offer beautiful handmade and eco friendly pamper boxes. If massages and beauty aren’t your thing you could do another form of mind & body relaxation such as yoga, Thai Chi or meditation.
2. Get creative together
Why not spend the day getting creative and making something with each other. You could do an online art class, perhaps you could draw a portrait of each other? (Make sure it’s flattering!) You could buy a candle making kit, pottery, valentines baking or anything else you fancy! Here are some ideas:
Jewellery Making – Buy a Gift
Gin Making Kit – Amazon
Truffle MAking Kit & Webinar for two – Buy a Gift
Looking to start a new skill or hobby?
3. #SupportLocal with a gift from a local small business
Valentines isn’t just about you and your other half. Why not spread the love in your community by supporting a local business. It could be buying from a local florist (they aren’t currently open but many are offering collection and delivery or a hamper from a local produce store. Small businesses need some extra love after the turbulent year we’ve all had so why not show some appreciation for them too! You could avoid the hassle of cooking and cleaning up by treating yourself to your favourite local takeaway – done!
4. Get sweaty together
You could treat your other half to a fun virtual fitness class together to boost your endorphins and make you motivated to get fit and healthy!

5. Do a cocktail masterclass
A cocktail making night will no doubt go down well. Where that’s with you or your partner or if you’re celebrating a virtual ‘galentines night’. Make a list of your favourite cocktails and give them a go. You could even get professionals to give your a masterclass by purchasing a virtual cocktail making session from the comfort of your own home. The best part is you don’t need to book a taxi home!
5. Do a virtual winetasting
Wine is the drink of ‘romance’. If you fancy trying something different together this Valentine’s Day, a wine tasting session is a great option. Discover the flavours of wine from around the world!

Be fantastic to win this offer but I’d love it for my daughter who has worked so hard during Covid after a break up being redundant, starting a new job and now waiting for a stressful hospital result . She often cares and supports others through selfless gain .
I would love to win this as my partner lives 12 miles away and it
would cheer him up when we meet at the weekend winning this.
