During the COVID-19 lockdown period, Furniture Now has continued to play its part as a bedrock of support across Sussex communities, introducing a bespoke Essential Household Item Sussex Relief Scheme which worked to provide free household items to vulnerable families in self-isolation across the county.

The scheme has proved a tremendous success, a much-needed pillar of support during a challenging mental, physical, and financial period for all communities.

A beneficiary of the scheme publicly thanked Furniture Now! stating “Thank you for providing an amazing single bed for my daughter, what an amazing charity you are. Well done to everyone. A much-appreciated support during a hugely difficult time for my family. My daughter’s toddler bed was broken and it broke my heart to see her struggle to sleep at night. Thank you once again.”

Michael Ryan, CEO, Now! Charity Group said “We’re delighted to be reopening our Furniture Now! sites to the public. In the weeks since the UK government announced the prospective return of retail sites from 15th June, we have been inundated with requests to reserve items for purchase and household collections. Our team has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure out sites are COVID-19 secure, this shall ensure customers and all staff members have a safe and enjoyable experience.”
