Macmillan Horizon CentreHere at Friday-Ad, we’re proud to be supporting the Fit4Life Festival, a new and fun charity event being held in Seaford on Saturday 19th September. The day is being run to help raise money for the new Macmillan Cancer Horizon Centre.

The event was created by Martin Hayman, the director of sports nutrition company Focus Performance. Martin lost his mum to cancer in 2013 and was driven to create the event to raise money for a charity his mum was full of praise for.

This loss has also driven Martin to feel strongly about promoting healthy living through nutrition and exercise. Martin and co-founder of Focus Performance, Scott Reid are currently taking Focus through a rebrand with a new website just around the corner. And as part of this big change, they have developed a clean range of supplements, such as sugar free and organic products.

With nutrition being such an important factor to those battling cancer (and even for prevention), Martin and Scott both decided that having a strong charity element to everything they do was very important to their business ethics and personal motivation, thus the Fit4Life Festival was born.

The event is being held at the Salts Recreation Ground in Seaford, East Sussex. It is a fun charity day for all ages, focused around promoting active sports and healthy living.

Activities will include:

  • Sporting Competitions
